Did I honestly hear the commentators during the Clearwater game say,”Who is paying these refs”? I checked with others who were listening and yep I heard it right
Phew… I’m glad you caught that! I was was worried people were totally missing our outwardly bias commentary!! Saved the day again JDS!
Bias = a particular tendency or inclination, especially one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice.
Observation = an act or instance of regarding attentively or watching.
I am pretty sure that Trent could care less who wins, nor does he have a “favorite team.”
On the flip side, a good color commentator makes accurate observations, like if one team seems to be getting calls. I broadcasted the MW Regional Tournament and called a LOT of games that I could care less who won. I’m sure people could have said I was “biased” for some observations I made.
Dangit Clint and your accurate defending comments! Your ruining CCSN’s reputation of having the most bias announcers in the NCCAA DII…
I’m sorry, Trent. Hey, Hallie Nelson is pronounced Hal-ee (like rally) and not Hay-lee. This was probably part of your blatant anti-Maranatha bias. Jerk move, Trent…lol
I know who Trents Fav team is!!
Trent is doing a good job. We get emails from every team saying we are biased, which means we are doing something right.
I hope that KCU and Manhattan can play for the title which they should. I think they showed that they are the two best teams in the tournamanet. VFCC gave them fits in the first half but Manhattan just imposed their will in the second half with that pressure. KCU looked dominant as well.
I think you mean Maranatha, not Manhattan. And yes, they both looked like the number 1 and 2 teams there.
Just got to meet this guy! Always great to meet the faces behind the fingers!
Just mentioning me got you 4 thumbs down! LOL Those people must be as biased as you
Wait no, just 2, the 4 were for me.
Let’s Go Lady Knights!
Proud alum and big sis to #32
All the way girls, make it six in a row!!
Maranatha looked much better tonight! Seemingly in control from start to finish, leading by as many as 21 in the second half while cruising to a 16 point win. Good to see Kristin Morrison eclipse the 1000 point mark and Autumn Peotter should pass that mark tomorrow. She is currently sitting at 997. Laci Peterson also has a chance to set the tournament blocks record. Should be a fun championship game. Time for a new champ!!!
It’s sad that OCU got into the dance just because they were hosting the tournament. Maybe an at large team should be selected due to their overall schedule and the results of that schedule. Just a thought but as you can guess I’m biased in favor of Dallas Christian.
OCU was the 3rd best team in the country. no one else deserved their place, win your tournament and get in… or put in a bid to host it.
Congratulations on a great season to the Lady Saints of Hillsdale. I’m proud of them.
Just got dine watching fifth place game online and was disappointed in the way the announcers kept joking about everything being on Facebook while the game was on and really made a mockery of the hard work these young ladies put in to get to the tournament . Mind you it was not a very completive game but to be so uninterested and be discussing everything with your fellow commentor just very unprofessional
Hillsdale had two all Americans a honorable mention all American yet no mention of them just this no stop talk about the opposing post player toy would think she was one of their kin. Maybe being better prepared in case games get out if hand would be the thing to do and if you both (commentors) can’t stay interested in the fame and must go on Facebook do it on your own time and not during game they make comments referencing it again girls worked Ro gard to have such unprofessional people calling the game and if four days in a row is too much fir them then maybe fresh announcers for the last day would be better than two tired disinterested announcers
Thank for using our FREE service.
I apologize if we did not sound the greatest for you. I have watched many of these players in the past and think that the teams here were all very competitive. I am no kin to anyone either, but you have to see the Compton girl, 6’3 and a monster down low! I have a feeling you are kin to Rey, hence the last name, and i believe she is a good up and coming player. She impressed me and if you listened to the Grace/Hillsdale game, I said that. Thanks for listening though, and I will try harder next time to get more sleep and not eat a bunch of free wings before calling a game. Those wings were amazing though! I love FREE stuff!
HAHAHA had you had another announcer, he would have been rude and mean… so… count your blessings!
VF had convincing wins over trinity and Hillsdale. Do you think they should have been ranked higher? Does OCU finish third if they play VF in the third place game? Should Grace have been ranked higher?
Basicaaly I am asking do you think the chairs got the seeding correct? And if the seeding weere different, might we see different results?
Valley Forge definitely played above their seed! They didn’t have the resume to get anything higher than they got, and you could argue they should have been below Grace University coming in. They played fantastic basketball at the National Tournament though.
I think Trinity was overrated and I thought that coming in. I’m never going to give the benefit of the doubt to a new team at Nationals… UNLESS they have an impeccable record and results, which Trinity didn’t.
Also thought Hillsdale was ranked too high as well, and I think that showed.
Having said all that, there were two elite teams at this national tournament, and then it was a wash…
I agree, Trent. I am a huge VF fan, but understood why they got the ranking they did.
The one thing I was most shocked about was Hillsdale’s #4 ranking! I said all year that they were overated and played in a weak region. Never understood all the hype. VF with all the turmoil in their team this year, handled them easily.
I would argue with one point you made this year and say there was actually only 1 elite team…Kentucky. They proved that by 20 points.
I would say that there was one elite team also!
I do not believe anyone besides KCU would have beat natha, but I think that seeds 3-8 could have gone any way depending how they were seeded. All in all, great tournament and looking forward to watching it again next season
It is a really sad day for Women’s Basketball at Valley Forge. They have just announced that Coach Chapelle has resigned as head coach of the team.
I am disappointed that the school didn’t do more to keep this outstanding Coach!
oops “Coach Chapple”
