Northland International University will be taking on Ohio Christian University in a rematch of last years controversial semi-final match. NIU won that game, and I don’t think we should rehash that whole debacle, but let’s just say… both sides know something went wrong in that match. Either way, here we are, and Ohio is looking for redemption. Let’s break the match down by team, and then look at the computer’s line for the game:
Northland International University – The computer thinks this is the number one team in the country. They have a high-powered attack, and a solid defense. NIU doesn’t have many holes, but as we have seen in the Moody game, they can have lapses of concentration.
Ohio Christian University – Ohio has really been flying way under the radar. That sounds weird, but people wrote them off a bit since that Moody game. The thing is… they only lost that game by a goal! The computer has them ranked #4 in the country. They have been rocketing up the rankings lately. Here is the big question for Ohio, they are allowing an adjusted 1.09 goals per game, they can score goals but can this team’s defense start locking teams down?
Computer Prediction:
| Week 5 | Score | Win Exp | Excitement Rating |
| Northland International University | 3 | 62.75% | 12.00 |
| Ohio Christian University | 2 | 37.25% | 12.00 |
| 24.00 |
Note:
- Excitement rating is pretty high. Go watch the game!
- NIU is a goal favorite to win, but a 62% win expectancy is pretty high.
- The computer thinks this could be a shoot out. Usually the computer predicts 1-0 or 1-1 games. A scoreline of 3-2 is pretty strange to see from the computer predictions.
Any updates about this game?? Northland isn’t updating their twitter like they usually do during games….
6-1 northland. Fabian got no help. Could’ve easily been 8. Northland came to play and shut down ohio’s attack all day long.
wow, I was hoping NIU would win but wasn’t expecting that….
WOW! Maybe Manhattan and Providence are not that bad… NIU and moody are just that good. Because, regardless of this score, Ohio is still a good team.
100% fluke game. Ohio had a simple let down In the second half. This game shows nothing of which Ohio Is capable of.
haha, it must be convenient to just write off a 6-1 loss as a fluke…
Wait until nationals then. Season play means relatively nothing.
dude i remember games like this- don’t worry about it. sometimes you just have bad luck and a goal goes in… and then another… and another… and another… and one more… oh and one more…. wait a second- maybe that wasn’t a fluke…
Okay, sure, bad loss for OCU… but that puts them into ninth in the rankings, under DALLAS and OZARK?? Let’s all take it easy here…
Defensive, thats was what made the OCU and it’s not there, The keeper is great but no line in front of him. to be tied 1-1 at half and then go down 6-1 I can’t think that the team of the last few years would have let that happen not only did OCU lose the great players on D they had but looks like they lost that swagger we seen in FL the last 3 years.
