Emptying the Notebook 1.16.12

It was a great weekend of basketball around the country. It’s time to pull out the bulletin points and ramble on with no real purpose.

  • Remember last year when Valley Forge imploded at the AGCU Classic? Me neither. Ever since then Valley Forge has hardly looked back, and this years win was all the more impressive. The handle the host school North Central University, and beat a team they don’t beat very often in Central Bible College. Valley Forge did a lot to solidify their #2 Ranking at Nationals.
  • Got an email letting us know that Jessica Sikorski, Grace Bible College, is chasing the Career Scoring Record for Western Michigan Colleges. Now besides the jokes that come to mind that they actually keep track of regions within a state, maybe Kansas just doesn’t care, this is actually really, really cool. She is in second place right now. Go get em Jessica.

2,156 Mary Randall, Grand Valley (1997-2000)
1,756 Cathi Velzen, Cornerstone (2001-05)
1,721 Lisa Winkle, Calvin (2003-07)

  • The blog is under attack by Florida Christian College baseball fans. Thought you should know.
  • Kansas City was host to the NSCAA Convention this year and I got to meet up with some NCCAA Coaches. If you are a soccer coach you need to get to these conventions, great opportunity to network, learn, and get SWAG (stuff we all get).

Happy MLK Day!
