No mention of Isaac Gonzalez from DCC in the podcast. This kid is the real deal! Don’t let him fall of your radar fellas.
Dallas Christian is currently playing with 6 players due to eligibility/illness issues within the team.
So excited that basketball season has started!

He was definitely overlooked!
I think the main reason the VFCC Women’s Basketball team has been a disappointment and underachieving is because they have been plagued with failed recruits and girls leaving the program just before the KCU Tournament. All of Coach Chappell’s recruits left before the season began and Shawneal McKeither and KiKi Boynkin have both decided to leave the program.
This has been a huge blow to the program and the remainder of the team, needs to learn to play without these huge pieces! I have no doubt that the coach will have them ready come March!
I heard some talk of Kuyper in the podcast…they have had a nice start to the year. (agreed) Word that I have heard is that recently, their Asst. Coach (Coach Hamlett) is not with the team any longer. This will be a big blow to the team as they move forward. He was instrumental to that program.
As far as GBC, I know only time and more games will show…but I think they have already answered some of your questions you posed on this podcast…they are winning close games, they are beating NAIA teams, beating NCCAA teams, and bringing the MIAA favorite in Calvin College to double OT in their home opener in front of 3,000 fans. Not too shabby. Good podcast guys!
