Watch out for Sleno. United scouts will be there to see him.
whats the score?
What is the schedule for the next rounds? Need to see if I can request time off work to partake in the festivities! Thank God for CCSN and the interwebs
Also, will there be archive footage for the games this year? Technical difficulties prevented it last year.

Sleno is the man.
Why am I listening to baseball?
Who is Sleno?
Where is the soccer Live Feed at? I’m looking all over this website and can’t find it anywhere.
OK, I got the Live Feed. So now I’ll comment that MBI’s Kujtim’s name is pronounced “Quee-tum” and he is aptly nicknamed Kosovo as that is where he is from.
Good job yesterday, OCU!!!! Best wishes against Northland tonight!
What happened to the LBC v DCC game?!
It’s halftime!
anybody find out whu is ## 11 for Moody
I think last night it was Richard Supe, a freshman.
The picture is a little hard to make out… is there any way to adjust the resolution or something like that?
thanks- im loving being able to see these games guys!!
David
Makes me miss the good old days of Northland Soccer…
MBI #11 is Richard Supe (pronounced Soopy)
Might want to watch MBI’s #9 tonight, he is due to light it up, senior TJ Pearce, he was All American 1st Team last year but has been beat up this entire season but he is 100% now and he always excells on the big stage.
concussion helmet….
The Perssons are sooo Boss
Moody will win Saturday and that will make it 3 wins against northland in a single season! Provided Northland plays a clean game for a change.
In my opinion, this is the 1st real Northland/Moody game of the year. Moody deserved the first two wins because they played harder and better, but those were games on a small and poorly kept field which helps Moody heavily. It will be interesting to watch tomorrow now that Northland has more space and a great field to move the ball (I think we saw how that helped them tonight against OCU).
Northland plays physical, but not dirty. Same as Moody. No need to rip on teams and give your school a bad name. Best of luck to both teams.
well i guess the best team won the one who can play on any kind of field
Moody’s field is far from poorly kept, in fact it is one of the best fields that the midwest region plays on. No excuses now though! Moody won 3 times against Northland this year and deserved the National Championship. Moody has so much depth, when your All American from last year is coming off the bench even though he is finally 100% from the injury riddled year, you know you have depth. God Speed recovery to the northland Keeper (Big Country)!
Northland needs to thank the officials for the added 3 minutes at the end of the game against OCU even though there was no stoppage time available since the clock stopped during each injury.
I would like to officially thank the officials on behalf of Northland.
is that good enough to make the crying stop?
Don’t you have a seminary to run?
i wish- at 24 years old i’d be pretty successful!
Im making this post on both threads that i have been posting on….I am done talking about it, we all know what happened happen and no matter it wont change everyone knows what really happened

The form for protesting a game can be found under “updates” on the right side of this page. Better hurry Hoss you only have 72 hours.
If you REALLY think your son was wronged then fill it out.
anyone know the mcc lancaster score???
3-2 MCC
TY CCSN what great coverage of the Soccer National Tournament!! And congrats to all teams!!!
OCU got screwed against Northland. I am not one to make excuses for teams or to say a ref single handedly changed a game but this was the case in the OCU and Northland game on Thursday. The clock had stopped working during the game so the center ref was responsible for the time. He allowed the 2nd half to go on for over 50 minutes and Northland tied the game and right after the kick off the ref called the game to go into overtime where OCU ended up losing in PKs. Yes OCU had their opportunities to win the game but still I hate to see things be unfair especially in NCCAA. I just feel bad for the players, parents, and coach.
I agree Alex. I am so sick of refs taking the game from the players and changing the outcome. I am sure if it was the other way and the game had been taken away from Northland like that, they would be just as upset. I saw many fouls that Northland committed in the first half, where the ref just stopped and talked to the player, no cards. If the foul is a card for one team, then it is a card for the other team too. At a championship game like this everything should be the best, refs, lights, scoreboard and players.
Alex is actually correct. The ref did make a mistake on this one. There was actually a meeting following the game to discuss the matter. Of course they will not reverse the result. Just like the 5th play in college football (see youtube) you cannot change the result because an official blows the game.
I would love to watch the game tape and keep actual time to see how it should have really ended. I am guessing 2 to 1 OCU wins.
Can this type of thing happen at an NCAA or NAIA National Tournament? If this was at a higher level and broadcast on ESPN this would be the kind of thing argued and debated for weeks. The official would have so much scrutiny that they would need a security detail.
I have a feeling this will get fixed and never happen again in the future. But for now, the tournament has been compromised beyond repair.
Very well stated.
Listen to the podcast on 11/10/11.

They explain what happened in an understandable way. Long story short…the ref had to be the official time due to a scoreboard malfunction. The last 5 minutes were so riddled with penalties that the ref was trying to find a time to end the game but from one perspective or the other it would have seemed unfair. He should have just ended it and let NIU be mad, but regardless the actuall outcome allowed for the most thurough decision between the teams. OCU had enough opportunities.
listen to the podcst though.
Player of the game for the 3rd/4th place…wait for it… The Center REF!
I hate to see officials make mistakes too, but I have to remind myself God even allows this kind of injustice to happen. It can ache down to the bone if you allow the resentment to control you. Yes, do all possible to prevent the same thing from happening again next time, but never believe an official wins or loses a game for anyone! The teams had 11 players each and the same amount of time to score or fail to score. Oh, I too am a NL fan since my brother and I attended and my nephew, Josh, now attends and starts for the soccer team! Go Pioneers! Win it all, including sportsmanship!
now we all know how dirty OCU plays…4 red cards? come on…i guess it shows their character
Let he who has not sinned throw the first stone. obviously you did not watch the game. The referee gave out weak yellows and I believe only 1 straight red due to Number 22? being the last defender (unlucky). at this level of soccer it seems no one can handle legal, aggressive soccer. It’s not like OCU came out throwing punches and cursing. Overall I was disappointed with the officiating in this tournament, especially at a National Tournament. Congrats to Moody and God bless. (P.S. Know the facts and judge your own character before you judge others)
hahahahahahahahahahaaaaa
Let’s be honest. There’s a difference between tackling the ball and sliding in late and taking out the opponent which the Trailblazers were masters of (see player no. 16 vs. Northland’s outside mid at the end of the game). Either you’re just plain dirty or you lack in skill and can’t defensively judge well (which I highly doubt since you’ve achieved the no. 2 seed). During CCC vs. OCU, the referee made sure he had control of the game. The straight red was deservedly given since you can’t take out somebody while being the last defender (missing the ball entirely). Mouthing off to the ref won’t get you anywhere either. The refs were simply trying to call a game the right way in their minds; which is as “legal” as it gets. Since I’ve never heard a person say that they never had a game where the officiating was horrible, I’m inclined to believe that this is just how the cookie crumbles.
4 red cards! And it’s the refs fault? I think OCU has some soul searching to do, and I don’t mean that in the “whether or not i’m saved type of soul searching”. No self-respecting player or fan can ever pretend that 4 red cards to one team is all the refs fault. Having said that I must admit I didn’t see the game and would have said that about any team the wined about getting 4 reds and blaming the ref.
I watched the OCU game where the 4 reds were given and in any other college league in the country (NCCAA DIV 1, NAIA, DIII, DII, DI) the tackles that the OCU players made would probably not even have been given yellow cards. I played in NAIA and NCCAA DI and have coached DII and that is how all tackles are and how intense everyone plays. OCU goes into tackles hard yes but dont put down their character for playing hard after getting a national title game taken from them the day before. You can’t really blame them for not having respect for referees. How boring would the games be if they didn’t go into tackles hard. I am not making excuses for them because yes they lost fair and square I just wish NCCAA DII could get better refs for their national tournament.
The commissioner of the Tournament came over to the OCU players after the NIU game and after the last game and formally apologized for the officials and how things were handled. Doesn’t really change anything but it is nice to see that the acknowledged they were in the wrong.
Congrats to all teams though. Moody deserved the title regardless of who they played in the final game!

Yeah Northland….
I’m grateful for this broadcast, but I wasn’t aware it was Northland’s home commentators. Oh well…beggars can’t be choosers.
Thanks for the hit.
any info on awards? all tournament team? all-americans?
OCU vs NIU game:
First half: 46 minutes
Second half 56 minutes
That is 22 minutes of extra time added in a game where they do not add stoppage time…
Nothing more needs to be said….
Except for that is not the case. You can’t just add the amount of time on the video. We timed it out, and it is actually around 2 minutes extra.
Thats not true either because my time comes from people that were at the game not watching it on the webcast.
I was not there though so maybe they were wrong with their timing but either way there should not have been stoppage time. That is the only point I was making… Just sad for the players… I dont care because Moody was the best team in the Tournament and they won!
This broadcast was amazing and I am very grateful for it! Awesome Job!
your math sucks alex….its 12 not 22…Northland won and thats all there is to it…why don’t you just go get a life and quit being a sore, bitter loser..no one cares
Lets get one thing straight I am a certified Mathematics teacher so let me give you a lesson so you can check your math before you call someone out next time….
halves at 40 minutes long….
First half 46-40= 6 minutes extra….
Second half 56-40=16 minutes extra…
6+16= 22 minutes total
Try getting a degree…
Seriously people? the greats adjust… go back to your lives
You should probably stick to teaching math then and stop piping in about soccer because halfs are definitely 45 min long..not 40
